Bring your class to Wickham Farms for a FUN and educational outing!

Spring/Summer CSA Field Trip

This package requires transportation back and forth between our main farm on Route 250 and our fields on Sweets Corners. It is less than a five-minute car ride; walking is not advised because of the need to cross over Route 250.

Each 1.5 hour visit includes:

  • A fun and educational discussion about farming and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
  • 30-minute tour of the fruit and vegetable fields where we grow crops for our CSA program.
  • Jumping pillow wristband
  • Small soft serve ice cream cone (vanilla, chocolate, or twist)

Our cost for spring & summer field trips are just $8.00 per student, with a $80 group minimum.

Fall Field Trips for School Groups

Each one-hour field trip includes:

  • A fun and educational discussion about pumpkins and pumpkin farming
  • One pie-size "Pick Your Own" pumpkin per child
  • A hay ride
  • A visit to our carved pumpkin display
  • A souvenir class picture
  • A snack: a donut or an apple, plus a small cup of apple cider
  • Chaperones/teachers free

Our cost for school field trips are just $8.00 per student, with a $80 group minimum.

Optional add-ons for the group:

  • Add the self-guided 30-45 minute corn maze for $1 per student.
  • Add the jumping pillow for $3 per student based on availability. The capacity of the jumping pillow is limited, so reservations are first come, first served.
  • Add a train ride for $1 per student.

School field trips are available in October, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are not available after school, on weekends or on school holidays.

Helpful Information for Fall Field Trips:

  • Please try to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time, if possible. If your plans have changed, or if you have any problems with your reservation, please call the farm (585-377-3276) as soon as possible.
  • Most of your field trip will take place outside. Please encourage the children (and the adult chaperones) to dress accordingly. Tell them it often feels colder at the farm! Bring hats and gloves if it’s chilly!
  • Some teachers like to bring bags with each student’s name on it for the pie pumpkins. That is optional – we are happy to provide bags. If you choose to bring bags, please do not pass them out to the students until after your “pumpkin talk,” when your field trip “farmer” suggests you do so.
  • Our staff will be handling most aspects of the program. We may ask you or your chaperones to assist with a few tasks like serving cider.
  • Payment can be made via check, cash, credit card, or purchase order. If you need an invoice, it’s helpful if you can provide the address information to us in advance.
  • We require a $50 nonrefundable deposit for moms clubs and home school groups to reserve a field trip.
